Learn More About Uncontested Divorce

  • What is an uncontested divorce?

Uncontested means you and your spouse agree on all issues including property and children. For example, you anticipate agreement regarding the division of community property, debts / liabilities, and if applicable, custody and child support. Parties must be able to achieve and maintain amicable communication while divorce is pending.

  • How much does it cost?

We use a simple, flat fee of $1500 and we allow our clients to pay the divorce fee in smaller installments with a minimum of $400 to get started. Our fee includes the drafting, preparing and filing of an agreed divorce petition, waiver of citation, final decree of divorce, wage withholding order (when needed), information sheet on Suit Affecting Family Relationship, and child support forms. Child support, custody, and division of property are also included in our rate.

  • I'm still not sure-- what should I do?

The best way to know for sure is to complete our intake form and setup a consultation. By completing each question with thorough answers, our attorneys and paralegals will be able to determine whether you truly qualify for an uncontested divorce. We will walk you through our assessment in your consultation.

“I wish I had known about Tray when my divorce started! Even though I (went) 'Pro Se' most of the way, Tray (was) a significant help and provided much needed perspective and analysis in the most important final hours.

He (was) professional, kind, thoughtful and very knowledgeable.

Tray brings value way beyond the extremely fair fee that he requests for an entire divorce process.”
